Friday morning and … 🏋🏻‍♀️

Friday morning and I’ve set the alarm so that I have time to shower and wash & dry my hair before I go to the gym as we are intending to go to Moraira market today. The fruit and veg is much better at the market than at the supermarket.  However, helps if you set the alarm for AM rather than PM!  I’m still very accustomed to getting up early so don’t really need the alarm which is a good thing.

Weigh in time – yay 400g lost, we are on our way to losing that 3 kgs.

It’s a good chest session today. 4 sets and 15 reps of each of

  • Pec flies
  • Dips
  • Decline chest press
  • Incline chest press
  • Chest press

This is followed by 45 minutes of cardio – half on the stepper and half on the treadmill (walking) – this is the first time I have been able to walk more than 15 minutes without getting a pain behind my knee so that’s great progress.

Back at the gym tonite – 45 minutes on the cross trainer and that’s us done for the day.

A beautiful sunny Thursday – and I weigh in for my quest to lose the 3 kgs I have gained since my hip operation.  The scales we have to hand are actually in stones and lbs (I’ll have to do the conversion on line as I have no idea what that reading means). 10 stone 6 lbs is equal to 66.2 kgs – see below.

Off to the gym and it’s leg day.  I am trying to do legs every other day to build the strength and muscle that has been deteriorating since my hip replacement operation.

Leg press – feet wide and high followed by feet together

Calf raises

Leg extensions

Squats followed by a version of sissy squats – see the video for this example

Deadlifts

And finishing off with 45 minutes of cardio on the cross trainer.

The gym have started to sell supplements – they didn’t sell them last year when I was here.  I don’t have any protein powder so ask for a sample of the one they are selling – the name escapes me right now but it was a peanut butter flavour – when I ask to buy a pack, they tell me they don’t have that flavour until next week – grrrrr.  So, I don’t buy any and will wait for that to come in.

I am off back to the gym this afternoon when it re-opens after siesta at 5 pm for another 45 minutes of cardio – I will get rid of this 3 kgs.

So, here we … 🏋🏻‍♀️

So, here we are on Wednesday.  I have not really weighed in seriously since before I went into hospital for Hippy which is now some 6.5 weeks ago.  So, I am pretty sure the gains since I went into hospital are around the 3.5 kgs mark.  From tomorrow, I am going to document the challenge to rid myself of those extra kgs.  I am going to increase my cardio and get back on my healthy meal plan.

I’ll weigh in tomorrow and take a photo of the scales for all to see and then I’ll share each day’s weight with you – I’d love to get rid of this weight by 11 June when I go to the UK.  My challenge will be that whilst we are house sitting, the scales may change or there may be none at all………. I hope it’s not the latter.

That said, had a great arm session today.  A very short 15 minutes on the cross trainer this morning due to the timing for us to ‘check in’ to our house sit.  However, went back this afternoon and did another 45 minutes – let’s see how the scales read tomorrow.
